Scar: Now you wait here. Your father has a marvelous surprise for you.

여기있어. 아빠가 깜짝 놀랄 선물을 주신댄다 

▷ marvelous : 놀랄만한

Simba: Oooh. What is it?

그게 뭔데요? 

Scar: If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?

그걸 말하면 놀라질 않잖아 

Simba: If you tell me, I'll still act surprised.

놀라는 척 할게요 

Scar: Ho ho ho. You are such a naughty boy.

이런 장난 꾸러기! 

▷ naughty boy : 개구장이  

Simba: Come on, Uncle Scar.

제발요, 스카 삼촌 

Scar: No-no-no-no-no-no-no. This is just for you and your daddy. You know, a sort of... father-son... thing.

안돼. 이건 너와 네 아빠 사이의 일이야 . 부자간의 정이랄까 

Scar: Well! I'd better go get him.

난 그만 가봐야겠다.

Simba: I'll go with you.

같이 가요 

Scar: No!  Heh heh heh. No. Just stay on this rock. You wouldn't want to end up in another mess like you did with the hyenas...

아니. 여기 꼼짝 말고 있어 하이에나 소동처럼  또 말성 필 생각은 없겠지?

▷ end up : 결국 처하게 되다  

Simba: You know about that?

알고 계셨어요?

Scar: Simba, everybody knows about that.

소문이 쫙 펴졌단다 

Simba: Really?

Scar: Oh, yes. Lucky Daddy was there to save you, eh? Oh...and just between us, you might want to work on that little roar of yours. Hmm?

다행이 아빠가 나타나서 구해 주셨다면서? 그동안 소리 지르는 거나 연습하고 있으렴 

▷ roar : 크게 소리치다, 울부짖다 

Simba: Oh... Okay...

Simba: Hey, Uncle Scar, will I like the surprise?

스카삼촌, 좋은 선물이에요?

Scar: Simba, it's to DIE for.

좋아서 죽을 거다 

 

Shenzi: Shut up.

조용히 해 

Banzai: I can't help it. I'm so hungry... I gotta have a wildebeest!

어쩔 수 가 없어 배고파 죽겠어 영양 하나만 잡아먹자 

Shenzi: Stay put.

가만있어 

▷ stay put : 그 자리에 그대로 있어  

Banzai: Well... can't I just pick off one of the little sick ones?

작은 놈 하나만 잡아올게 

Shenzi: No! We wait for the signal from Scar.

안돼, 스카의 신호를 기다려야 해 

Shenzi: There he is... let's go.

신호다... 가자 

Simba: Little roar. Puh!

소리 연습!

Simba: Rarrr! 

Simba: Rrrraowr-nh!

Simba: RAOWR!

 

Zazu: Oh look, sire; the herd is on the move.

전하, 짐승떼가 이동합니다.

▷ herd : 짐승의 떼, 군중 

Mufasa: Odd...

 

Scar: Mufasa. Quick. Stampede. In the gorge. Simba's down there!

형님, 골짜기에 영양떼가...심바가 거기 있어요!

▷ stampede : 우르르 몰림, 쇄도 

▷ gorge : 협곡 

Mufasa: Simba?

 

Simba: Zazu! Help me!!

Zazu: Your father is on the way! Hold on!

대왕님이 오시니까 조금만 참아

▷ on the way : ~가는중, ~ 오는중  

Simba: Hurry!

Zazu: There! There! On that tree!

저기 나무 위에요!

Mufasa: Hold on, Simba!

기다려라, 심바 

▷ hold on : 기다리다, 버티다

Simba: Ahhhh!

Zazu: Oh Scar, this is awful. What will we do? What will we do? Hah ... I'll go back for help, that's what I'll do, I'll go back for he--oomph!

스카, 이럴 수가. 어쩌면 좋죠? 돌아가서 도움을 청해야지! 내가 할 일은 도움을....

 

Simba: DAD!

Mufasa: Scar! Broth--  Brother! Help me!

스카, 아우야 도와다오 

Scar: Long live the king.

왕이여, 만수무강 하소서 

Mufasa: Aaaaaaahh!

Simba: Nooooooo!

Simba: Dad!! 

Simba: Dad?

Simba: Dad? ...Dad, come on.  You gotta get up.  Dad.  We gotta go home.  HEEEEELP! Somebody! Anybody... help.

아빠? 아빠. 어서요 일어나세요, 집에 가야죠, 도와줘요, 아무도 없어요

▷ get up : 일어나다, 기상하다 

Scar: Simba. ...What have you done?

심바... 어떻게 된거냐?

Simba: There were wildebeests and he tried to save me. it was an accident, I... I didn't mean for it to happen.

영양떼가 와서... 날 구하려다... 사고였어요, 난 이럴 줄 몰랐어요 

Scar: Of course, of course you didn't.  No one... ever means for these things to happen. ...But the king IS dead. 

알고 그랬을 리야 없지, 아무도 알고 그런 짓을 하진 않아...하지만 왕이 돌아 가셨다 

And if it weren't for you,he'd still be alive. Oh! What will your mother think?

네가 아니었으면 돌아가시지 않았어. 엄마가 알면 뭐라실까?

Simba: What am I gonna do?

어쩌면 좋죠?

Scar: Run away, Simba. Run... Run away and never return.

도망가 심바, 도망가서 다신 돌아오지 마 

▷ run away : 도망치다, 달아나다 

Scar: Kill him.

없애 

Banzai: Whoa!!

Banzai: Yeow! 

Shenzi: Hey-- There he goes! There he goes!

저기 간다!

Banzai: So go get 'im.

가서 없애!

Shenzi: There ain't no way I'm going in there. What, you want me to come out there looking like you? Cactus Butt?

미쳤냐, 저길 가게? 너처럼 선인장 꼴이 되라고? 

Banzai: We gotta finish the job.

임무는 완수해야지 

Shenzi: Well, he's as good as dead out there anyway. And IF he comes back, we'll kill him.

어차피 죽은 거나 같아. 돌아오면 그때 죽이지 뭐 

Banzai: Yeah! you hear that?  If you ever come back, we'll kill ya!!!

너도 들었지? 돌아오면 죽여 버릴 거야!

 

Scar: Mufasa's death was a terrible tragedy; but to lose Simba, who had barely begun to live...

무파사의 죽음은 엄청난 비극입니다. 거기에 미처 피기도 전인 심바마저 실종되었습니다. 

Scar: ...For me it is a deep personal loss. So it is with a heavy heart that I assume the throne.

이제 침통한 마음으로 왕위를 계승합니다.

Yet, out of the ashes of this tragedy, we shall rise to greet the dawning of a new era... 

 우린 이 비극을 딛고 일어나 새 시대를 열어야 합니다.

▷ dawning : 새벽 

...in which lion and hyena come together,  in a great and glorious future! 

 번영과 평화를 위해 사자와 하이에나는 함께 살 것이다 

▷ glorious : 거룩한
