PEDDLER: Oh I come from a land  From a faraway place    Where the caravan camels roam

아득히 머나먼 사막 한 가운데 아주 신비한 곳 있어 

▷ caravan : 낙타를 끌고 다니는 상인무리

▷ roam : 돌아다니다 
  Where they cut off your ear. Where it's flat and immense  If they don't like your face And the heat is intense

  끝없이 펼쳐진 뜨거운 사막은 펄펄 끊는 가마솥 같아 

  ▷immense : 거대한, 막대한, 광대한

  ▷intense : 강렬한, 열정적인
  It's barbaric, but hey--it's home!  When the wind's at your back And the sun's from the west

  동쪽의 바람과 서쪽의 태양이 

  ▷ barbaric : 야만적인, 잔인한 
  And the sand in the glass is right Come on down, Stop on by Hop a carpet and fly

  정겹게 마주보는 곳 어서와 모두가 그대를 기다려 

   ▷ come on down : 아래에 와서 

  To another Arabian night! Arabian nights Like Arabian days

  재미나는 아라비안 나이트 

  More often than not Are hotter than hot In a lot of good ways Arabian nights

  신비한 이야기 그 누구라도 꼭 한 번쯤은 가고싶은 그 곳 

 'Neath Arabian moons A fool off his guard Could fall and fall hard Out there on the dunes.

 우리를 부르네 저 타는 듯한 사막의 정열 느낄 수 있어

너무 가깝네, 조금만 뒤로. 아그라바에 오신 걸 환영합니다. 신비와 매혹의 도시

쓸만한 물건들을 고루고루 준비해 놓았습니다. 이걸 보세요

Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance.  

겉모습만 보고 판단하지 마세요 

Like so many things, it is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts.  This is no ordinary lamp!  

중요한 건 내용이 아니겠습니까. 이건 보통 램프가 아닙니다.

한 젊은이의 인생을 바꿔준 램프랍니다.

그 젊은이도 이 램프처럼 흙에 묻힌 보석이었죠

어떤 이야긴지 듣고 싶나요?

It begins on a dark night , where a dark man waits, with a dark purpose.

애기는 시커먼 마음을 가진 어떤 흠흉한 남자가 깜깜한 밤을 기다리는데서 시작됩니다.

 

JAFAR:  You...are late.

왜 늦었나 

GAZEEM:A thousand apologies, O patient one.

죄송합니다, 쟈파 나리 

JAFAR:  You have it, then?

가져왔나?

GAZEEM:I had to slit a few throats to get it. Ah, ah, ahhh!  The treasure! Ouch!

천신만고 끝에 겨우 구했습니다요, 보물부터요

JAFAR: Trust me, my pungent friend.  You'll get what's coming to you.

날 믿게, 고약한 친구 대가는 충분히 줄테니까

IAGO: What's coming to you!  Awk!
대가는 줄게 
JAFAR:  Quickly, follow the trail!

빨리, 어서 쫓아가자!
JAFAR:  At last, after all my years of searching,  the cave of wonders!

드디어 그렇게 오랜 시간동안 찾아 헤맸던 신비의 동굴을 보게 되다니 

IAGO:  Awk!  Cave of wonders!

신비의 동굴! 

GAZEEM: By Allah!

알라신이 보살피셨죠 

JAFAR:  Now, remember!  Bring me the lamp.  The rest of the treasure is yours, but the lamp is mine!

가서 램프를 가져와. 금은 보화는 다 널 줄테니 램프만 갖다다오 

IAGO:  Awk, the lamp!  Awk,  the lamp!  Jeez, where'd ya dig this bozo up?

램프, 램프. 저런 멍청한 놈을 어디서 찾았어요?

▷ bozo : 바보 

CAVE: Who disturbs my slumber?

누가 내 단잠을 깨우느냐?

▷ slumber : 편안히 자다, 활동을 쉬다 

GAZEEM: It is I, Gazeem, a humble thief.

접니다. 가짐 겸손한 도둑이죠 

CAVE: Know this.  Only one may enter here.  One whose worth lies far within.  A diamond in the rough.

여기에 들어올 수 있는 자는 오직 한 사람. 진흙속의 보석같은 자 

JAFAR: What are you waiting for?  Go on!

뭘 꾸물대? 어서 가!
CAVE: Seek thee out, the diamond in the rough.

진흙속의 보석을 찾아와라!

IAGO: I can't believe it.  I just don't believe it. We're never gonna get a hold of that stupid lamp!  Just forget it.  

이럴 수가 있나. 램프를 손에 넣긴 글렀어요 포기하세요. 

  Look at this.  Look at this.  I'm so ticked off that I'm molting!  

  이것 봐요. 너무 놀래서 털이 다 빠지잖아요 

▷ tick off : 누국가를 화나게 하다, 짜증나게 하다 

▷ molting : 털갈이 
JAFAR:  Patience, Iago.  Patience.  Gazeem was obviously less than worthy.

참아라, 이아고. 가치있는 놈을 찾아 보자구 

IAGO: Oh, there's a big surprise.  That's an incred--I think I'm gonna have a heart attack and die from not surprise!  What're we gonna do?  We got a big problem here,a big prob-

정말 놀랠 노자로군요. 말이 쉽지 그런 놈을 어디서 찾아요?  이제 어떡할 거에요? 보통문제가 아니잖아요!

JAFAR:  Yes, we do.  Only one may enter.  I must find this one, this...diamond in the rough.

그래, 오직 한사람, 진흙속의 보석만이 들어갈 수 있어 그 놈을 찾아야 해.
